The golden dome of the Dome of the Rock shines under a grey-blue sky filled with birds. Pillars and mosaic detail remain visible, but the sky takes up a large portion of the frame, giving the scene greater depth. The Dome of the Rock stands in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem and is one of the most recognised forms of Palestinian architecture. Here the contrast between dome and sky gives the building strength without extra ornament.

It suits a prayer room, living room, bedroom or office. It makes a thoughtful gift for someone who values Islamic architecture and the heritage of Jerusalem. Made to order, printed and framed by hand in solid pine, ready to hang.
